Etihad Airways operates limited flights, issues travel and fraud advisory

Etihad Airways has announced a limited schedule of commercial flights between Abu Dhabi and select destinations, urging passengers to stay informed and travel only when necessary.

Check before you go

The airline has advised passengers not to head to the airport unless they:

  • Have a confirmed booking, or
  • Have been contacted directly by the airline

Travellers are strongly encouraged to check their flight status online before leaving for the airport to avoid disruptions and ensure a smoother journey.

Rebooking and refunds

Etihad is offering flexibility for affected passengers:

  • Tickets issued on or before February 28, 2026
  • For travel between February 28 and April 15, 2026
  • Can be rebooked free of charge until May 15, 2026

Bookings beyond this period may be subject to additional fees. Passengers can manage changes, update contact details, or request refunds through the airline’s official website.

Warning against fake accounts

The airline has also raised concerns about fraudulent social media accounts impersonating Etihad and sending fake refund forms.

Passengers are reminded:

  • Etihad will never ask for passwords or payment details via social media
  • Always rely on the official website and verified channels for updates

With limited operations in place, Etihad is working to accommodate passengers with confirmed bookings as quickly as possible. Travellers are advised to remain cautious, verify information, and avoid sharing sensitive details online.
