Final call: Why a weekend trip to Global Village is a must before it shuts for the season

Global Village,  Dubai’s ultimate outdoor attraction, closes for summer on May 11. If you haven’t been yet, now’s the time to experience the magic before it’s gone.

Since its humble start in 1997, this multicultural festival has become a world-class extravaganza. This 29th season, which kicked off on October 16, 2024, brought together more than 90 cultures, 30 pavilions, and over 175 rides and attractions.

What’s Inside

More than 30 pavilions and 200 daily shows. New pavilions this year include Jordan, Iraq, and a combined Sri Lanka-Bangladesh one. From street acts to dazzling cultural performances  Kids’ Theatre, there’s a whole load of fun for the little ones with favourite characters.  Emirati Heritage Area: Step back in time and explore local traditions.
