Fujairah has secured a place in the Guinness World Records after its innovative “Music Street” was officially recognised as the world’s longest musical street, marking a significant milestone in the emirate’s growing cultural ambitions.

The achievement was celebrated during a ceremony at the Emiri Court, where His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, received the Guinness World Records certificate from the team behind the project at the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy.

Praising the initiative, Sheikh Mohammed said arts and music play a vital role in enhancing quality of life and strengthening community well-being. He noted that integrating creative elements into public spaces can transform everyday environments into distinctive cultural landmarks, offering unique experiences for both residents and visitors.

The Crown Prince also reaffirmed the Fujairah Government’s commitment to supporting innovative artistic projects that enrich communities and contribute to broader social and cultural development goals.

He highlighted that the success of Music Street reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, whose continued support for the arts has helped position the emirate as an emerging centre for creativity and culture.

The meeting was attended by Ali Obaid Al Hafiti, Director-General of the Fujairah Fine Arts Academy, along with members of the academy’s team who played a key role in developing the record-breaking project.

Academy officials expressed their appreciation for the Crown Prince’s continued support, saying his encouragement has enabled the institution to pursue ambitious initiatives and create engaging artistic experiences for the wider community.

The Guinness World Records recognition of Music Street represents another landmark achievement for Fujairah’s cultural sector and underscores the emirate’s increasing investment in public art, creativity and cultural innovation as part of its long-term development strategy.
