The organising committee for the Liwa International Festival 2026 has officially opened registrations for a variety of services and activities ahead of the big event.  Mark your calendars, the festival runs from December 12, to January 3, 2026, right in the heart of Liwa, Al Dhafra Region.

This incredible 23-day festival, brought to you by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and a host of local partners, has become a must-visit winter destination. 

Whether you’re into thrilling motor racing, heritage sports, camping under the stars, or just soaking up cultural performances and fireworks, there’s something here for everyone.

Registration kicks off in phases to make things easier for everyone:

• Commercial services registration starts November 1

• Camping bookings (including free and reserved spots) open November 5

• Racing competition sign-ups begin November 15

Who can participate: Both professional athletes and amateurs can take part in the events. Participants have to register for sports events via the Liwa Sports Club mobile app.

What to expect: The festival features motorsports, cultural performances, music concerts, and family-friendly activities.
