Grammy-winning singer Richard Marx announces Dubai concert
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx is set to perform in the Middle East for the first time, bringing four decades of chart-topping hits to Coca-Cola Arena on October 3.
The multi-platinum artist has sold more than 45 million albums worldwide, surpassed one billion streams, and achieved 14 No. 1 singles. Marx also holds the distinction of being the only male artist to have his first seven singles reach the Top 5 on the Billboard charts. He is one of only two artists, alongside Michael Jackson, to have written a No. 1 song in four different decades.
Among his most recognisable hits are Right Here Waiting, Hazard, Hold On to the Nights and Satisfied. Beyond his own recordings, Marx has written and produced major hits for artists including Luther Vandross, Keith Urban, NSYNC, Barbra Streisand and Kenny Rogers.
Earlier this year, Marx released his latest album, After Hours, which blends Great American Songbook standards with original compositions inspired by the same era. The album features collaborations with Rod Stewart on Young at Heart, Kenny G on Big Band Boogie, and Chris Botti on All I Ever Needed.
Speaking about the upcoming concert, Marx said he “couldn’t be more excited” to perform in Dubai for the first time, adding that he and his band will ensure it is “a night to remember”.
