Here’s when autum arrives in UAE this year

Autumn will officially arrive in the UAE on September 22 at 10:20 pm, coinciding with the autumnal equinox when day and night are nearly equal across the globe. From this point, the sun begins its southward tilt, bringing a gradual decline in temperatures across the Northern Hemisphere, reported Gulf News.
According to Ibrahim Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Emirates Astronomy Society and member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences, the season marks a transition from the searing summer heat to the mild chill of winter. Daytime highs at the start of autumn are expected to hover around 37°C with nights cooling to 23°C, before dipping further to 26°C and 14°C respectively by December 21. Humidity will remain high through September and October before easing by mid-November, while rainfall is forecast to increase towards the end of the season.
Beyond the changing weather, the skies over the UAE will offer plenty for astronomy enthusiasts. Al Jarwan pointed to the Orionid meteor shower, peaking on October 21–22, and the Taurids in November, known for their striking fireballs as highlights of the season. Clearer views of constellations such as Orion (Al-Jawza), Cassiopeia, Andromeda and Pegasus, as well as the bright stars forming the famed Summer Triangle, will also be visible.
He added that the UAE’s desert and mountain regions offer the best vantage points for observing these celestial displays, thanks to their dark, unpolluted skies making autumn an ideal time for stargazing.
