Holi in Dubai: Here’s where to head for a burst of festive flavours

Holi, the  Indian festival of colours, falls on Friday, March 14, right amid Ramadan. In the UAE, Holi is usually a vibrant affair, filled with lively concerts and colourful outdoor celebrations. Since it coincides with Ramadan this year, many events were held earlier, while some celebrations are planned for after the holy month.

While outdoor festivities are out, Dubai’s top restaurants are stepping up with vibrant Holi-special menus to keep the celebrations going. From crispy Gujiyas to spiced Thandai and lavish Royal Thalis, expect a feast as colourful as the festival itself. And for those craving a full-fledged Holi bash, mark your calendars for April 1 —when the city will come alive with a splash of colourful events.
