Into art, fitness, or yachting? New Dubai platform helps you find your people

Dubai just got a whole lot more connected. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has launched ‘MyDubai Communities’— a brand-new online platform that brings residents, citizens, and visitors together through shared interests, hobbies, and community events.

Think of it as a one-stop shop to find your people in Dubai, whether you’re into art, fitness, tech, reading, or even yachting.

With nearly 200 nationalities calling Dubai home, this platform makes it easier than ever to meet others who share your passions, from sports and wellness to culture, business, and beyond.

How to connect to communities

  • Visit mydubaicommunities.com or follow @mydubaicommunities on Instagram & TikTok
  • Launches with over 100 interest-based groups
  • Features events like car meets, book clubs, running groups, art workshops & more

Simple and user-friendly design — join or list a community in under five minutes

“A city’s success isn’t just about tall buildings; it’s about strong community bonds,” Sheikh Hamdan said, highlighting that this platform is part of Dubai’s bigger social vision to boost happiness, well-being, and belonging across the emirate.

The platform builds on the original #MyDubai campaign from 2014, which captured everyday moments of life in the city and turned them into a global love letter to Dubai.

Now in 2025, the UAE’s Year of Community, the city is doubling down on that spirit by giving people a space to connect both online and offline.

Whether you’re new to town, born and raised, or just passing through, MyDubai Communities helps you plug into the real Dubai, its people, its passions, and its pulse.

Helal Almarri from Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism says this move is “key to making Dubai one of the top three cities in the world to live.”

So go ahead, explore, join, or start a community that reflects you. After all, there’s more to Dubai than just its skyline.
