Legendary American rock band The Beach Boys is heading to Dubai to celebrate 60 years of their iconic album Pet Sounds, with a one-night-only concert at Coca-Cola Arena on June 11

Marking more than half a century of music-making, the band will bring their timeless California sound to the UAE for the first time, performing some of their biggest hits for fans of all ages.

Six decades of Pet Sounds

Originally released in 1966, Pet Sounds remains one of the most influential albums in music history. The Dubai concert will honour the record’s 60th anniversary alongside a wider celebration of the band’s enduring legacy.

Since co-founder and chief lyricist Mike Love penned the lyrics to the band’s first hit, Surfin’ (1961), The Beach Boys have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and American youth culture.

“Dubai has shown us so much love from afar, and we’ve been blown away watching our audience there grow year after year, streaming in the UAE has climbed by double digits for the past four years,” said Love.

“We can’t wait to bring The Beach Boys to Coca-Cola Arena for our first-ever show in the city,” Love added. 

“This night is about sharing the hits and the legacy of Pet Sounds in person, bringing this timeless catalogue of songs a long way from home.”

Record-breaking legacy

With more than 100 million records sold worldwide, The Beach Boys have earned over 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold awards.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the band also received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2001 Grammy Awards.

Over five decades of touring, they have performed more concerts than any major rock band in history, a testament to the enduring appeal of their sun-soaked harmonies and feel-good anthems.

Today, the band continues under the leadership of Mike Love, joined by longtime touring members including musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer.
