Love seafood and family days out? Dubai Waterfront Market’s winter festival ticks both boxes

If there’s one place in Dubai that truly gets seafood, it’s Dubai Waterfront Market. Sitting at the heart of the city’s fishing heritage and modern food scene, it’s where chefs, home cooks and curious food lovers come together for one thing: Fresh seafood.

This winter, the market is turning that daily ritual into a celebration with a Seafood Festival running from until January 7, 2026.

From the nets to the table

Known as Dubai’s largest food market, Waterfront Market sees hundreds of varieties of seafood arrive fresh every morning. What makes it special is its much-loved Market-to-Table concept: pick your catch, choose how you want it cooked, and enjoy a meal that’s completely your own. Grilled, fried, steamed or drenched in spice ..

During the festival, the spotlight is on the market’s popular restaurants, with dining offers and seasonal specials at favourites such as Paluto Restaurant, BOAT Seafood Restaurant, Yahya Seafood Restaurant, and Aylla Seafood Restaurant and Cafe. Expect generous platters, bold flavours and seafood that goes straight from stall to stove.

Adding a festive twist, the market has unveiled a seafood-themed holiday tree, bringing seasonal vibes to the place. From Friday to Sunday, the atmosphere gets even livelier with roaming entertainment, bubble shows and face painting.

Win up to Dh5,000

There are perks for shoppers, too. Spend Dh200 or more at the fish market or participating restaurants and you’ll receive a complimentary insulated cooler bag, perfect for beach days or picnics. You’ll also be entered into a prize draw to win up to Dh5,000 in fresh produce, shared between five lucky winners.

For little ones, the Kids Foodie Explorers Passport and Little Rollers trolleys turn market shopping into a fun, hands-on adventure, complete with stamps, ingredient discoveries and small prizes at the finish.
