The iconic R&B and soul singer, Macy Gray, best known for her breakout hit I Try, will take the stage at Coca-Cola Arena on August 29, marking 25 years since the release of her triple-platinum debut album On How Life Is. That’s right,  a quarter century of raspy vocals, genre-defying tracks, and Grammy-winning brilliance.

A Voice Like No Other

With over 25 million records sold, a Grammy win, and multiple nominations under her belt (plus BRIT recognition to boot), Gray isn’t just a singer, she’s a whole vibe. Expect a set packed with fan favourites like Leave Me Lonely, Time of My Life, Sweet Baby, and more.

Joining her on stage will be her dynamic band, The California Jet Club, who bring an added layer of funk and improvisation to her live shows. Together, they’ve been touring globally to mark 25 years since her debut album, and Dubai is lucky to be on the map.

In the Headlines

Last year, Macy made waves offstage after opening up about a health scare linked to Ozempic, the diabetes (and trending weight-loss) drug. The singer revealed on MTV’s The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets that she ended up hospitalised after trying it in an attempt to shed weight. She’s since bounced back, and now we’ll see if her stage power is as strong as ever.
