Marks and Spencer is launching a TikTok-style shopping experience and it’s pure genius
The TikTok world takeover continues to make its moves as Marks and Spencer launches a TikTok style ‘live shopping experience’ in which influencers will model clothes on a live video stream.
Viewers will be able to interact with the influencers, asking them questions and even adding the outfits to their ‘cart’. The new series has been launched with a focus on Marks and Spencer’s brand new activewear line, Goodmove.
With this, the retailer is set to become the first major UK store to offer a live shopping service.
Shopping at Marks and Spencer is about to start looking a whole lot different. The weekly broadcast will have a host, an expert from the brand, who will tell the viewers more about the collections they’re browsing through and get the look in real time. Shoppers can even ask questions through the live chat function.
The new initiative comes as a strategy adopted by the retail giant to attract a younger customer base and stay more relevant. To keep in tune with the times and promote its brands online, the series will launch on January 28 with a broadcast on Valentine’s Day gift ideas.
