Did you know that Miss Bahrain Manar Nadeem Deyani lives in Dubai? She became the first-ever beauty queen to represent her country in the Miss Universe 2021 pageant.
The 25-year-old aspiring fashion designer is a student at American University Dubai and became the talk of the town because of her confidence and bold choices at the pageant.
For the national costume round, where all participants wore dresses inspired by the heritage of their country, Manar sported a stunning gown with pearl detailing. The gown was a homage to the pearl-diving history of Bahrain.
Manar, who also goes by ‘Jess’, hopes to represent the women of her country on an international platform. She also wishes to raise awareness about the social stigma around mental health, an issue she personally identifies with.
