MMA returns to Yas Island: UFC announces new Abu Dhabi date
Fight fans in Abu Dhabi are getting ready for another adrenaline-filled night as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) officially confirmed the return of UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi this summer.
The blockbuster event will take place at Etihad Arena on UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi 2026, Saturday, July 25, 2026, bringing the Octagon back to Yas Island for another major showdown.
Abu Dhabi’s UFC legacy is growing
The announcement was made by the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi alongside UFC, continuing a partnership that has transformed Abu Dhabi into one of the organisation’s biggest global destinations outside the United States.
Over the years, the UAE capital has become deeply linked with the world of MMA—especially during the COVID-19 era, when the famous Fight Island turned Yas Island into the centre of global combat sports.
Tickets Coming Soon
Fans will soon be able to secure tickets through Visit Abu Dhabi, where early registration and hotel-ticket packages are also expected to launch.
While the official fight card has not yet been revealed, UFC says more announcements are coming in the weeks ahead.
Last year’s UFC Fight Night featuring Robert Whittaker and Reinier de Ridder packed the arena, while UFC 321 later brought heavyweight stars Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane to the capital.
Now, UFC’s return promises another electric atmosphere as Abu Dhabi continues cementing its reputation as one of the world’s premier destinations for live sports entertainment.
