Planning an Eid getaway? Turkish Airlines resumes Istanbul–Dubai flights
Travellers in the UAE are set to regain a major international air link as Turkish Airlines officially confirmed the return of its Istanbul–Dubai flights starting June 8.
The announcement was welcomed by frequent travellers and holidaymakers alike, especially with the busy Eid Al Adha travel season fast approaching.
Sharing the news on social media, Lutfullah Goktas, Turkish Ambassador to the UAE, expressed excitement about reconnecting the two countries through the skies. “We are delighted to share this important development with our brothers and sisters in the UAE and our dear citizens living there. Hello again, UAE,” he said.
Key route between two global hubs
The restored service reconnects Istanbul and Dubai, two of the region’s busiest aviation and tourism hubs.
The resumed route is expected to benefit:

- Tourists
- UAE residents planning Eid holidays
- Families travelling between the two countries
Perfect timing before Eid
The announcement comes just ahead of the expected Eid Al Adha travel surge, when residents across the UAE traditionally book overseas holidays and family visits.

- Culture
- Cooler summer weather
Travel demand expected to surge
Airlines and travel operators are already preparing for increased passenger traffic during the festive period, with Istanbul expected to be among the top-booked destinations this season.
