Ramadan 2026: Dubai begins early permits for Iftar meal distribution

Dubai’s Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) has started issuing permits early for the distribution of Iftar meals ahead of Ramadan 1447 AH, allowing charities and donors to prepare their Ramadan initiatives in advance.

The move is aimed at regulating charitable work, improving coordination and ensuring smooth implementation of Ramadan programmes across the emirate. IACAD said the early permits will help organisations plan in line with approved guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Mohammed Musabah Dahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector, said the early issuance of permits is designed to help donors, charities, and institutions plan their Ramadan programmes in advance, in line with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.

He explained that the initiative reflects IACAD’s commitment to strengthening community engagement, understanding social needs and improving the efficiency of charitable activities across Dubai.

Dahi added that the department continues to develop its services and procedures to enhance institutional flexibility, simplify the customer journey and support Dubai’s broader vision of promoting generosity and social solidarity during the holy month.

IACAD has urged organisations planning Iftar meal distributions to comply with approved guidelines and submit permit applications on time, reaffirming its commitment to providing support and guidance to ensure the success of Ramadan campaigns.
