Say ‘I do’ from anywhere: Abu Dhabi launches Dh800 virtual wedding service
Couples dreaming of tying the knot in Abu Dhabi can now do it, without ever setting foot in the emirate. The capital has launched a virtual wedding service that allows couples to complete their marriage registration entirely online for just Dh800.
The new initiative by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department allows residents and non-residents to apply for, attend, and finalise their weddings via secure video conferencing. All you need is a valid ID, supporting documents, and an internet connection.
Officials say the move simplifies the process for expats, long-distance couples, and those seeking an easy, paperless experience. It’s part of the UAE’s broader digital transformation drive, bringing convenience to major life events.
“The UAE continues to pioneer smart services that make life simpler for residents,” said an ADJD spokesperson. “This platform ensures transparency, legal recognition, and accessibility for couples around the world.”
Whether you’re miles apart or simply want a stress-free ceremony, Abu Dhabi’s digital wedding portal is making modern love official — one click at a time.
