This UAE beach just ranked among the 50 best beaches in the world
Abu Dhabi has added another international accolade to its growing list of achievements after Saadiyat Beach secured a place among the world’s most spectacular coastal destinations.
The pristine shoreline on Saadiyat Island has officially been ranked among the 50 best beaches in the world for 2026, earning the 19th spot on the prestigious global list compiled by travel experts and industry professionals.
What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that Saadiyat Beach was the only destination from the Middle East to feature in the coveted ranking, placing the UAE alongside some of the world’s most famous beach destinations.
World-Class coastal escape
Stretching across 8 km of untouched coastline, Saadiyat Beach has long been regarded as one of Abu Dhabi’s natural treasures. Its powdery white sands, crystal-clear waters and tranquil atmosphere have made it a favourite among residents, tourists and nature lovers alike.
Despite being just minutes from Abu Dhabi’s cultural and urban attractions, the beach retains a sense of seclusion and natural beauty that continues to captivate visitors from around the globe.
More than just a beautiful beach
While its postcard-perfect setting attracts thousands of visitors each year, Saadiyat Beach is also recognised for its environmental significance.
The coastline forms part of a carefully protected ecosystem and is managed under conservation guidelines designed to preserve its natural habitats. The beach serves as one of the UAE’s most important nesting grounds for critically endangered hawksbill turtles, which return to its shores annually during nesting season.
Haven for marine life
Beyond the shoreline, the surrounding waters are equally impressive.
Saadiyat Beach lies adjacent to the Saadiyat Marine National Park, a protected marine environment that supports a wide variety of wildlife. Visitors are often treated to sightings of bottlenose dolphins, which are known to frequent the waters off the coast.
The latest recognition further strengthens Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a global tourism destination capable of competing with some of the world’s most celebrated beach locations.
As travellers increasingly seek destinations that combine luxury, sustainability and authentic natural experiences, Saadiyat Beach continues to stand out as a rare example of all three.
