Top stars to light up Pakistan Independence Day celebrations at Expo City Dubai

In a powerful celebration of unity, culture, and long-standing diplomatic ties, over 60,000 attendees are expected to gather at Expo City Dubai on August 10 to mark Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day.

Organised by Emirates Loves Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Association in Dubai and supported by Dubai Police, the event will be held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre within Expo City. It is designed to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Pakistan and recognise the vibrant contributions of the Pakistani community to the UAE.

Cultural Highlights

The programme will include artistic, cultural, and musical performances showcasing Pakistan’s diverse heritage. A special ceremony will honour distinguished members of the Pakistani community who have made significant contributions to the UAE’s development.

Star performers such as Sahir Ali Bagga, Natasha Baig, and Yousuf Bashir Qureshi will headline the event, offering live music, Sufi rock, and storytelling segments that reflect the spirit of the nation.

A Celebration of Bonds

The event also highlights the strong historical and diplomatic relationship between the UAE and Pakistan, established in 1971 under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

In recent years, bilateral ties have deepened. In January 2025, both nations reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation across economic, commercial, and cultural fields. This was further solidified in June 2025 with the launch of a strategic partnership in governmental modernisation, aimed at exchanging expertise and driving institutional development.

Message of Unity and Coexistence

The event serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring friendship between the two nations and reinforces the UAE’s commitment to celebrating diversity and cultural exchange. The UAE Government Media Office stated that the gathering is a symbol of solidarity and the shared journey of progress between Emiratis and the Pakistani community.
