UAE–Algeria flights to continue as normal despite air services agreement update, GCAA says

Flights between the UAE and Algeria will continue as normal, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed, following Algeria’s notification of the cessation of the Air Services Agreement between the two countries.

The GCAA clarified that the move falls within standard mechanisms set out under international aviation agreements and does not have any immediate impact on air traffic operations.

According to the authority, the agreement remains legally valid during the mandatory notice period, ensuring that flight operations between the two countries continue without disruption.

No immediate impact on passengers

The GCAA also confirmed that it is coordinating closely with all relevant entities through official channels, adding that the matter is being handled responsibly and professionally in line with established legal and diplomatic frameworks.

Passengers travelling between the UAE and Algeria are therefore not expected to face any immediate changes to flight schedules or services.
