The countdown has started for Dubai New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Dubai is all set to welcome the New Year with fireworks displays in several locations across the city, it has been confirmed. Iconic landmarks and attractions are putting on shows, it’s going to be one exciting night. Looking for somewhere to watch Dubai’s New Year’s Eve fireworks? Here are some spots to check out.

Al Seef

With old-style buildings, traditional dhows and a lovely creek, the waterfront promenade is a great place to ring in the New Year. Take a seat or just have a stroll and you’ll see fireworks here.

Bluewaters

Bluewaters will light up on December 31 as a sky show is planned. The island is home to several eateries and hang-outs (which are perfect for booking a table at on NYE). Don’t want to book a meal out? You can walk in area to catch the show.

Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa’s fireworks displays never fail to impress. If you are brave enough to battle the crowds you will still be able to rock up to Dubai Mall and find a good vantage point. Or, you can purchase tickets for an event at Burj Park. The event named Emaar NYE at Burj Park will cost Dhs300 per adult and Dhs150 for kids aged 5 to 12, while those under 5 are free.

Dubai Parks and Resorts

If you visit Dubai Parks and Resorts on Sunday December 31 you will be able to see two fireworks displays. The location will celebrate the New Year with its laser show followed by fireworks at 7pm and 9 pm. It’s Dhs15 to enter Riverland Dubai, which is redeemable on food, drinks and attractions. Entry is free for Annual Pass Holders and guests with a valid ticket to Motiongate Dubai, Legoland Dubai Theme Park, Legoland Water Park, Neon Galaxy or JUMPX.

Emirates Golf Club

Head to the lawns of Emirates Golf Club between 8pm and 1am on New Year’s Eve for a gala event with fireworks. Ticketholders can expect plenty of food and drink and a line-up of live performances including Michael Jackson and Tina Turner tribute acts.

Global Village

This budget attraction will ring in the New Year seven times (that’s seven fireworks shows). The New Year celebrations will kick off at 8pm on the Main Stage, coinciding with midnight in China before moving to Thailand at 9pm. Bangladesh’s NYE will be marked at 10pm with India at 10.30pm and Pakistan at 11pm. Global Village will celebrate New Year’s Eve with the rest of the UAE at midnight and then an hour after the events will wrap up with a celebration alongside Turkey at 1am.
