Cathay Pacific to resume Dubai flights from September
Cathay Pacific will resume passenger flights to Dubai and Riyadh from September 1, following improved stability in the Middle East after the recent US-Iran ceasefire.
The Hong Kong-based airline will restart daily flights to Dubai International Airport (DXB) and four weekly services to King Khalid International Airport (RUH).
Why were the flights suspended?
Cathay Pacific suspended flights to Dubai in March after the conflict involving Iran disrupted regional airspace and pushed jet fuel prices sharply higher.
The airline later extended the suspension until June 30 as uncertainty continued across the region.
Ticket flexibility for passengers
Bookings for both routes are now open.
Cathay Pacific said customers who booked Middle East flights before May 20, 2026, can rebook, reroute or request a refund without paying change fees.
Eligible passengers must make changes by September 30, with travel completed by November 30.
Airline to monitor the situation
The airline said it will continue to closely monitor developments in the Middle East before resuming services to ensure safe operations.
Despite the regional disruption, international travel demand has remained robust.
