Christina Aguilera’s Abu Dhabi show cancelled: What ticket holders need to know

Christina Aguilera’s highly anticipated return to the UAE has been cancelled, with her September 25 concert at Etihad Arena no longer going ahead.

Ticketmaster informed ticket holders that the show “will unfortunately no longer take place” and confirmed that refunds will be issued automatically to the original payment method within 21 working days.

Ticket holders do not need to submit a separate refund request. No reason has been given for the cancellation, and no replacement date has been announced.

Concert had already been rescheduled

Aguilera was originally scheduled to perform in Abu Dhabi in April 2026, but the show was later moved to September amid the ongoing regional situation.

The cancelled concert would have marked her return to the capital following her sold-out Saadiyat Nights performance in 2025.

The cancellation was announced on the same day as the postponement of OFFLIMITS Music Festival 2026 in Abu Dhabi, adding to a series of changes affecting the region’s entertainment calendar.

Christina’s UAE connection

Aguilera rose to international fame with her 1999 hit “Genie in a Bottle”, followed by a string of major releases including “Beautiful”, “What a Girl Wants”, “Dirty” and “Lady Marmalade”.

She has also appeared on screen, starring alongside Cher in the 2010 musical film Burlesque. Her career has earned her five Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

For now, fans who purchased tickets for the Abu Dhabi show can expect their refunds to be processed automatically through the original ticketing provider.
