New Dubai mall opens: The Grand brings Waitrose, Tashas and Kokoro to Nad Al Sheba
A new two-storey community mall has opened in Nad Al Sheba, bringing a mix of restaurants, retail, healthcare and lifestyle brands to one of Dubai’s growing residential neighbourhoods.
The Grand officially opened on Wednesday, August 19, with the destination set to welcome additional tenants in phases over the coming months.
What’s open at The Grand?
Waitrose is among the headline openings, alongside MMI, Heart Cottage Lane, Maple Bear Nursery, Al Jaber Optical and Fixperts.
From early September, visitors can expect a wider selection of Dubai favourites, including Tashas, Somewhere Home Bakery, Kokoro, Blu Pizzeria, Bake My Day, Daima, Staywell Pharmacy and Tips and Toes.
Health and wellness offerings from Fitcode and American Hospital are expected to complete the destination in early 2027.
The mall is part of the wider Nad Al Sheba Gardens development and is open to both residents and visitors.
Kokoro and Bake My Day join forces
Foodies will also get a new permanent dual-concept venue featuring Kokoro Handroll Bar and Bake My Day under the same roof.
The space will be divided between the two brands, with each retaining its own identity. Kokoro will serve its signature handrolls, while Bake My Day will offer its popular cookies.
The development is located around 10 minutes from Downtown Dubai, with connections to areas including DIFC, Business Bay and Meydan.
Designed around the community
The Grand has been designed with a natural colour palette and materials intended to complement the surrounding landscape.
The architecture incorporates landscaped parking and nearby parks, while a lightweight steel roof and vertical columns allow natural light into the mall.
The wider Nad Al Sheba Gardens community spans around 1.5 million square metres and will include three- to seven-bedroom villas and townhouses, alongside leisure and fitness facilities, an education campus, pedestrian-friendly streets and cycling tracks.
More retail openings, experiences and community events at The Grand are expected to be announced in the coming months.
