Dubai gears up for a packed week with Gitex, Global Village and Safari Park reopening
Dubai is set for one of its busiest weeks of the season, as Gitex Global, Global Village, and the Dubai Safari Park reopen all coinciding, drawing visitors, families and professionals from across the UAE.
Residents can expect heavier traffic near major venues and are advised to plan commutes early or use public transport.
Tech spotlight: Gitex Global returns
The world’s largest tech exhibition, Gitex Global 2025, is back at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), showcasing AI, robotics, and digital innovations from leading global firms. Thousands of visitors are expected daily.
The RTA recommends taking the Dubai Metro (Red Line) or other public transport options, with nol card top-ups starting from Dh15 for Silver Class. Limited parking (Dh25 per hour) is available, while Careem is offering 20% off rides with the code GITEX2025.
Dubai Safari Park reopens on October 14
Dubai Safari Park returns for its seventh season, themed ‘Wild Rules’. The launch week includes free ticket giveaways, fast-track access for popular experiences, and new family-friendly activities such as the ‘Guardians of the Wild’ educational workshops.
A revamped ‘Birds Kingdom Live Presentation’ promises to be a highlight of the season.
Global Village celebrates Season 30
Kicking off on October 15 at 6pm, Global Village marks its 30th anniversary with the theme ‘A More Wonderful World’. The season opens with live performances, dazzling lights, and new pavilions offering food and culture from around the world.
