Eid in Dubai: Where to eat, explore and unwind with family

Dubai is preparing for another busy Eid Al Adha holiday, with beaches, theme parks, shopping destinations and cultural attractions expected to draw large crowds of residents and visitors across the long break.

As families look for quick local getaways without travelling abroad, the city is once again positioning itself as a full-scale holiday destination offering entertainment, dining, outdoor activities and family-friendly experiences across every part of the emirate.

From waterfront mornings to late-night fountain shows, to a trip to the Global Village, Dubai’s Eid atmosphere is expected to stretch far beyond malls and hotels this year.

Beach days and outdoor hotspots

Dubai’s coastline is likely to become one of the main attractions during the Eid break, especially as families take advantage of the early summer weather.

Popular spots including Jumeirah Beach Residence and Kite Beach are expected to see heavy footfall thanks to beachfront dining, cycling tracks, water sports and children’s play areas.

Meanwhile, newly-upgraded Al Mamzar Beach Park continues to attract families looking for quieter green spaces, barbecue areas and shaded picnic spots away from the city centre.

Theme parks and indoor attractions

Dubai Parks and Resorts remains one of the city’s largest family destinations, while IMG Worlds of Adventure is expected to attract visitors seeking indoor entertainment away from the daytime heat.

Water lovers could head to Aquaventure Waterpark at Atlantis for slides, wave pools and family rides.

Malls to remain favourites

Dubai Mall is expected to remain one of the busiest destinations during the break, combining shopping, dining and entertainment under one roof.

Visitors can also explore the Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, watch the Dubai Fountain performances and enjoy views of Burj Khalifa.

Heritage, culture and quieter escapes

Dubai Frame continues to attract visitors with panoramic views of old and new Dubai, while heritage districts such as Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and waterfront areas like Al Seef offer a more traditional experience.

Parks around the country are also a huge draw with families looking for barbecue outings.

Food, late-night experiences

Restaurants and cafes around the Emirates are preparing special Eid menus, extended opening hours and outdoor seating options as the city’s nightlife and dining scene ramps up for the holiday period.

From Arabic grills, fusion and multi-cuisines to waterfront cafes, Dubai’s food scene is expected to be a major highlight during the break.
