Free workshops, tours and museum access announced in UAE
Museum lovers across the UAE can enjoy free entry to some of the country’s biggest cultural attractions this weekend as International Museum Day returns on May 18.
From Abu Dhabi’s world-famous museums to Sharjah’s heritage landmarks and Expo City Dubai experiences, residents and visitors can explore art, history, science, and culture without paying an entry fee.
Free museums in Abu Dhabi
From May 16 to 18, visitors can access several major attractions for free, including:
- Louvre Abu Dhabi
- Zayed National Museum
- Natural History Museum Abu Dhabi
The celebrations will also include workshops, guided tours, live performances and family-friendly activities across the emirate.
Dubai joins International Museum Day celebrations
In Dubai, Expo City Dubai is offering free access to the Vision and Expo 2020 Dubai Museum during the same period.
Visitors can also enjoy special discounts on the Terra exhibit as part of the celebrations.
Sharjah museums offering free entry
Several popular museums in Sharjah will also open their doors for free on May 18, including:
- Sharjah Science Museum
- Sharjah Aquarium
- Sharjah Archaeological Museum
- Bait Al Naboodah
- Sharjah Fort
- Sharjah Maritime Museum
- Sharjah Heritage Museum
