Inside Sharjah’s new private beach designed exclusively for women
A new private beach just for women is about to open in Dibba Al Hisn, and it’s designed with comfort, privacy, and community in mind.
Authorities in Sharjah are set to launch the emirate’s first women-only beach park in its eastern region, marking the start of a wider plan to create dedicated coastal spaces exclusively for women.
The project, led by the Sharjah Public Works Department, spans over 6,300 square metres and comes under the directive of Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to establish three fully serviced ladies-only beaches, with more on the way in Kalba and Khorfakkan.
Built as a ‘model project’, the Dibba Al Hisn beach is fully enclosed to ensure complete privacy. A three-metre-high perimeter fence and a 200-metre rock barrier shield the space from outside view while also protecting it from strong waves.
Wide range of facilities
But it’s not just about privacy, it’s about experience.
The beach features a wide range of amenities, including a fitness centre, creative activity spaces, a cafe, a clinic, a prayer room, and dedicated service areas. Families are also catered for, with a shaded children’s play zone and safe rubber flooring.
For those looking to stay active, a rubberised walking track runs along the waterfront, while lifeguard towers and designated swimming zones ensure safety across the beach.
Set to open by the end of the week or early next week, the new destination offers women a space to relax, stay active, and connect, all within a secure and thoughtfully designed environment.
