Rains to hit some parts of UAE this week ; yellow alert issued for wind, rough seas

Residents in certain regions of the UAE can anticipate a respite from the heat, as the National Centre of Meteorology forecasts periods of rainfall over the next few days. From Monday, August 5, to Thursday, August 8, the weather is predicted to be partly cloudy to cloudy across much of the country, with a likelihood of rain, particularly in the eastern and southern areas.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate and fresh at times, blowing from the southeast to northeast, becoming northwesterly at times, with convective clouds causing blowing dust and sand. This will in turn would reduce horizontal visibility.
Seas will see light to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf, and slight to moderate, becoming rough at times on Tuesday in the Oman Sea.
