Travellers in the UAE planning summer holidays to India and other international destinations could benefit from lower airfares this week after Air India Express launched a major promotional campaign offering millions of discounted seats.

The airline announced that its Xpress Sale will run until May 31, covering travel dates between June 15 and October 10 across selected domestic and international routes.

According to the carrier, the promotion includes up to 50 per cent discounts on approximately five million seats available through its network.

The offers apply to Lite fare categories, which exclude check-in baggage, as well as Value fares on several routes operated by the airline.

Passengers booking directly through the airline’s official website or mobile application will also benefit from waived convenience fees during the promotion period.

The airline added that members of the Tata NeuPass loyalty programme who log into the booking platform can receive additional savings of up to 20 per cent on Business Class fares, alongside travel perks including priority services, complimentary hot meals and enhanced baggage allowances.

In addition to discounted ticket prices, the airline is also reducing the cost of several optional travel services. Customers can receive savings on seat selection, prepaid baggage and onboard meals, with discounts of up to 30 per cent available on selected ‘Gourmair’ meal options and other add-on services.

Air India Express further confirmed that existing concession programmes for students, senior citizens and serving or retired armed forces personnel, including eligible dependents, will continue alongside the promotional fares.

The sale comes as airlines across the region prepare for increased summer travel demand from UAE residents heading abroad during school holidays and seasonal vacation periods.
