Samsung Electronics Co. unveiled the latest model of its smartphone family and its largest tablet yet, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The brand is upgrading its devices with bigger and better features such as new screen sizes, better quality cameras and optimised storage facilities to be up against tech-giant, Apple Inc.

At a virtual reveal of its smartphones, Galaxy S22+ sells at a starting price of Dh2932 while the Ultra variant costs you Dh4,400.  Despite rumours of expected delays, the Galaxy S22, S22 Plus and S22 Ultra will launch on February 25. Pre-orders are set to roll out immediately ahead of its release. 

The 6.8-inch Ultra edition includes a more advanced chip, 1 TB of storage capacity, matching the iPhone13 Pro’s maximum storage capacity and an integrated S-pen stylus. According to Samsung’s chief, TM. Roh, the S22 ultra is an effective substitute to the Galaxy Note series by Samsung, which is being discontinued. 

Apart from the new S22 series, Samsung is introducing an all-new line of tablets and a pack of updated features for Samsung Watch4. Galaxy Tab S8 series – including Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra – is Samsung’s most multifaceted tablet range designed to meet the needs of those who work, study, play and create.
