Etihad Airways expands flights to Brussels, Dhaka, Krakow, Zanzibar and Mallorca

Etihad Airways is expanding its international network by increasing flight frequencies and extending seasonal services to several popular destinations as travel demand continues to grow.

The UAE’s national carrier announced additional flights to Brussels and Krakow, confirmed Dhaka as a year-round destination, and extended seasonal operations to Zanzibar and Palma de Mallorca to accommodate rising passenger demand.

Dhaka route becomes permanent

Following a strong launch on June 26, Etihad has decided to operate its Abu Dhabi–Dhaka route throughout the year.

The service currently operates four times a week using a Boeing 777, featuring 28 Business Class seats and 374 Economy Class seats. The route supports both passenger travel and cargo demand while serving the large Bangladeshi community living across the UAE.

Zanzibar flights extended until March

Etihad has also extended its seasonal flights between Abu Dhabi and Zanzibar until March 31, 2027.

The service was originally scheduled to end in September, but growing interest in the Indian Ocean destination prompted the airline to continue operations for an extended period.

Mallorca service to continue

The airline’s seasonal route connecting Abu Dhabi and Palma de Mallorca will now operate until October 18, 2026.

Flights on the route are operated using the modern Airbus A321LR, providing travellers with additional options to visit the popular Spanish island during the extended travel season.

More flights to Krakow

Starting July 27, Etihad will increase flights to Kraków from three to four weekly services.

The additional flight is expected to meet growing demand for travel to southern Poland, with the Airbus A321LR serving the route.

Brussels frequency to increase in December

From December 15, Etihad will boost its Abu Dhabi–Brussels schedule from seven to eleven weekly flights.

The added services will be operated by the three-class Airbus A321LR, offering First Class, Business Class and Economy Class cabins to provide greater flexibility for travellers.

Airline responds to demand

Etihad said the latest expansion reflects increasing demand across multiple international markets and supports its strategy of strengthening global connectivity through Abu Dhabi.

The airline believes the additional flights will not only provide passengers with more travel choices but also attract more visitors to the UAE capital while supporting business, tourism and international trade.
