The iconic India-Pakistan ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Group A clash tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at the Dubai International Stadium is set to be the stadium’s 100th T20I. The DIS, also known as the Ring of Fire, has in the last decade and a half emerged as one of the most popular cricketing venues in the world.
The first T20I to be hosted at the venue was a men’s match between Pakistan and Australia in May 2009. Since then the venue has been host to some of the most thrilling games including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 final and the ACC Men’s Asia Cup final in 2022. A number of bilateral men’s and women’s series have also been staged at the venue. At present, the venue has played host to 92 men’s and seven women’s T20Is.
The India-Pakistan – 8th women’s and 100th T20I – match to be played at the DIS will begin at 2:00pm local time on Sunday with a big crowd set to witness one of the most sought-after games on the international stage.
