UAE residents who are already planning their annual leave for next year can look forward to an extended break during the first half of 2024 on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr.

Based on astronomical calculations, the holy month of Ramadan is expected to begin on Monday, March 11, 2024, and will likely span over 30 days, leading to Eid Al Fitr falling on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Taking advantage of two weekends, employees will have a nine-day break from Saturday, April 6, until Sunday, April 14. In addition to the extended break during Eid Al Fitr, UAE residents are set to enjoy two more long weekends in the remaining months of 2023. The first three-day break will occur during the new Hijri year from Friday, July21, to Sunday, July 23. The last holiday of the year will mark the UAE National Day on December 2 and 3 (Saturday and Sunday).
