A major new food and entertainment hotspot is heading to Abu Dhabi, and it’s built for everything from match nights to casual hangouts.

At Reem Mall, Vision Hospitality is preparing to launch a massive 45,000 sq ft multi-concept venue combining dining, live sports, and social spaces, marking one of its biggest expansions in the UAE.

At the heart of the project is McGettigan’s, which will open a new flagship location on Al Reem Island. The first phase introduces a McGettigan’s Fan Zone, bringing the brand’s live sports concept to the capital for the first time.

Expect big screens, high-energy match-day vibes, and a new go-to spot for sports fans looking to catch major games in a lively setting.

But this isn’t just about sports.

The wider space is designed as a day-to-night destination, with multiple food and entertainment concepts set to roll out in phases. The idea: create a place where visitors can eat, watch, socialise, and stay longer, all under one roof.

According to Dennis McGettigan, the project is about scaling up what the group does best — bringing people together through food, sport, and shared experiences.

The move also reflects a bigger shift across the UAE, where malls are evolving beyond retail to focus on dining and entertainment to keep visitors coming back.

For Reem Mall, the partnership adds a major new social anchor. Bruce von Kaufmann said the venue will help deliver a more dynamic, all-day experience for residents and visitors alike.

The McGettigan’s Fan Zone is set to launch first, with more concepts to be revealed in the coming months,  making this one of the most anticipated additions to Abu Dhabi’s growing lifestyle scene.
