Eyes on the sky everyone………
As the new year kicks off, sky gazers are in for a visual treat with two celestial phenomena set to take over UAE skies. Residents will have the opportunity to watch a ‘wolf’ moon this month. The wolf moon is the largest full moon of the year, appearing up to 14 per cent larger than usual.
According to the Meteostate website, moonrise in Dubai will be at 5.40pm on Thursday January 25.
It’s also been named the Ice Moon or the Cold Moon in some places – a tribute to the harshness of winter. On the day, the moon will appear to be up to 14 percent larger than usual, and look more photogenic than normal.
