Flying to Pakistan from Dubai? Here’s what changed on Flydubai this week
Travellers planning a trip to Pakistan may need to rethink their itineraries after flydubai suspended flights to several major Pakistani cities due to what the airline described as ‘operational reasons’.
Daily services to Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar are currently unavailable and can no longer be booked through the airline’s website. The suspension remains in place until further notice.
The move affects some of flydubai’s newer Pakistan routes, with flights to Lahore and Islamabad having launched in July 2024, while Peshawar was added to the network last year.
Passengers can still travel to other Pakistani destinations served by the airline, including Karachi, Faisalabad, Quetta, Sialkot and Multan, where flights continue to operate as scheduled.
In a statement, the airline confirmed affected customers are being contacted directly regarding rebooking and refund options. Travellers who booked through travel agencies have been advised to contact their agents for assistance.
The update comes as many UAE residents begin planning summer holidays and Eid Al Adha travel across the region.
